Astley Book Farm

Visitor Attractions in Bedworth, Warwickshire

Astley Book Farm is 2 miles outside the North Warwickshire town of Bedworth,8 miles from Coventry and only 10 minutes from junction 3 of the M6. We are situated on the Arbury Estate, which was the birth place of the Victorian novelist George Eliot and stock a range of her novels and related literature. We currently have approximately 45,000 books covering all subjects and interests.

The books are housed in a range of old farm buildings, the first phase was completed early in 2004 and we opened to the public in March 2004. We recently completed phase 2 of our renovations with the Children's Hayloft opening in October 2004 and our Fiction barn early in 2005. We stock over 6000 fiction titles and a large range of childrens books for all ages. Over the coming months we will open more barns and stables, we are currently working on our science fiction and fantasy room extending our range. We have 4000sq feet in total, a large car park, plenty of seating and coffee/tea/cold drinks & cookies are on sale.
