Accommodation
Ashton Lodge is a 3 Star Visit Britain rated hotel with 14 comfortable en-suite bedrooms, each with its own individual character. Four-poster bed, large and more spacious rooms are available for guests to enjoy and all bedrooms are equipped with drinks making facilities, television, radio and telephone and wireless free.
Conferences, training courses and business meetings
The hotel has three separate conference / training rooms suitable for any number of business delegates up to a maximum of 60 in the largest of the rooms. All the rooms are light and elegant with views over the terrace and gardens to the countryside beyond. The standard provision of overhead projector and screen, flipchart and the normal range of business telecommunications services are provided, whilst a TV, DVD and video can be hired at extra cost. Ashton Lodge Hotel now has Wireless Free Broadband. The spacious meeting rooms and tranquil setting create the kind of environment most conducive to effective business training, discussions and communication.
A la carte restaurant and private dinner parties
Our restaurant enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality and choice of its food and wine. All dishes on the menus for both evening meals and Sunday lunches are freshly prepared on the premises by the staff under the guidance of our Head Chef. A wide vegetarian selection is naturally provided. The comprehensive wine list offers wines and champagnes from across the world to suit all tastes. With our well-stocked bar and comfortable lounge, a homely and relaxing atmosphere can be assured, whether a birthday, wedding anniversary, office party, club dinner or important business matters are the reason for your visit. For private parties, we can offer exclusive use of our Blue Room which is equally suitable for business or family use. These rooms will comfortably seat up to 28 persons with the main dining room able to cater for up to 60 guests. Monday to Saturday evenings our ala-carte menu is available to everyone, Traditional Sunday Luncheon is from 12 noon - 2.00pm. Individual menu tastes can be met on request. Weekday luncheon parties can also be provided by prior arrangement with both hot and cold food for parties over 12 persons. Following our success in 2006 of our Themed Food and Wine evenings, Ashton Lodge Hotel is offering a full programme of events for 2007. These include foods from around the world including French and Italian, as well as more traditional English recipes, please ask for our ‘Calendar of Events’ Pack. Throughout the year, Andrew Michaelsmith, a watercolour artist has programmed six one-day workshops, again please ask for details.
Weddings
We are always delighted to host your celebration and can offer the exclusive use of the hotel throughout your special day, should you require. As indicated, the main dining room allows up to 60 guests to be seated in comfort, whilst for a buffet style reception up to 100 of your guests can be easily accommodated. For larger groups, we can recommend a local companies for marquee hire, should you wish to use the lawns and gardens for this purpose. Our menu choices offer a range of food from the more traditional choice to our gourmet style cuisine for both buffet and restaurant style receptions. Please ask for a wedding package.
Civil Weddings
We have been granted a licence to hold civil/partnership marriages. Choose from our Blue Room holding up to 30 persons or the more spacious Cedars Dining Room holding up to 60 persons. Our tranquil setting and special packages make Ashton Lodge the place to celebrate your special day.
General
Other groups who have recently used the hotel include a car club rally, caravan and camping exhibitors, who took advantage of the extensive car parking available as well as the convenient geographical location of the hotel. We are close to all major motorways in the region (M1 Junction 20 - 6 miles, M6 Junction 2 - 6 miles, M69 Junction 1 - 6 miles) and we are conveniently located for visitors to and from Birmingham Airport and the National Exhibition Centre (15 miles).
