The level of service and quality, that is offered in our bars, has led
to the bar being voted 'Local Camra pub of the year' (twice),
'Warwickshire pub of the year' (twice), and runner up in the regional
competition in 2005.
Locals often say that they are "off to the Church for a drink" when
talking about our Tap Room, that opened in 2003. The congregation
expanded so much that we had to add the Vestry in 2006. Both rooms run
an ever changing range of eight cask conditioned beers, no Keg, just
top quality cask conditioned beers! Church End Brewery started life in an old coffin workshop
behind the Griffin Inn, Shustoke, Warwickshire. Its goal was to be a
'hands on' craft brewery making a wide range of cask conditioned beers
. The Brewery philosophy only allows the use of good quality raw
materials , such as floor malted barley and whole hops; definitely no
processed sugars! Today, Church End Brewery is housed in a refurbished social club.
During 2008 we upgraded our brewing plant to 20 Barrels per brew. Most
of the brewing kit was sourced in the U. K. - Doncaster no less. During
the installation new greener refrigeration and gas burners were
installed, and this has already led to a 25% reduction in the
consumption of both.
