Midland Red double decker bus trip to the Malverns

Date: 11 Apr 2010
Time: TBA
Location: Start/finish Pool Meadow, Coventry
Cost: TBA

In October 2010, one of the NWTA members, Midland Red Coaches/Wheels, ran a trip by vintage Midland Red double decker from Coventry/Birmingham to the Malverns.

The trip was so popular it will be repeated on Sunday 11th April 2010.

144 - Birmingham to The Malverns, via Worcester.

The bus will be picking up at Pool Meadow, Coventry prior to running to Birmingham

The 144 route is one of the longest-running double decker bus routes ever, although there was a similar service using a different number before the 144 started in 1928.

The run last October was a good day - decent weather, and the beautiful route gave great views especially from the top deck of course with people admiring the iconic  Midland Red D9 double decker bus.  In fact at various places on the route there were crowds just waiting to see and photograph the bus!
