Tips for the Best Wedding

Everyone wants their wedding to be perfect and Northern Warwickshire is the perfect venue on every level. Here we share our tips on how to make your wedding truly special.

Set your budget and stick to it.Wedding websites and magazines will inspire you with latest trends in dresses, menus and favours – it’s so easy to get carried away. As soon as you start to plan your big day be clear on what your budget is, break it down into items such as dresses, suits, venue & catering, photographer, invitations, honeymoon. Don’t forget to include all those things that may seem like little extras – hair and make-up, entertainment, decorations, wedding favours… need we go on!

Be prepared – it’s not just for boy scouts! Most of us can’t afford a wedding planner but there are several online websites which can help you with everything from to-do lists, managing your guest list and even etiquette for table plans. Our venues will also be happy to help you with local suppliers. For instance did you know that Atherstone and Coleshill each have several wedding dress shops? And we have loads to do for Hen and Stag Dos too!

Location, location, location. No, we haven’t over-dosed on Phil and Kirsty but do think about where your guests are coming from. This might affect where you hold your wedding as well as the time of day. Northern Warwickshire is perfectly positioned at the heart of the country making it easy for your guests to get here. We’re at the heart of the motorway network with the M6, M42 and M69; we have direct trains to Nuneaton, Atherstone and Coleshill from London, Birmingham, Crewe and all parts of the country; and we’re only a short drive from either Birmingham or East Midlands Airports.

Your wedding really is about you. It sounds obvious but your wedding should be about who you and your partner really are, what you like and where you will feel comfortable. Think about what type of venue will feel right – are you history buffs so that a historic castle or hall will set the scene? Perhaps a rural idyll escape like can host your fairytale. Intrepid adventurous types may prefer a zoo venue. Or a contemporary hotel can offer a complete package including relaxing spa facilities ensuring your day goes without a hitch.

Whichever you are, we’re sure that our wedding venues across Northern Warwickshire can make your day utterly memorable so browse below to see which is the one for you.
